We have partnered with a heavy industrial mechanical contractor company in the
Baltimore or Hagerstown, MD area to provide them with a Project Engineer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills For The Project Engineer
#1. Must have at least 2yrs of Construction exp either as a Mechanical Contractor or Prime Contractor in an Industrial Environment.
#2. Must have a thorough understanding of Plans and Specifications.
#3. Must be comfortable working on projects alone and be comfortable working directly with Clients.
#4. No more than 3 jobs in the past 10 years.
Requirements Of The Project Engineer
Requirements of the Project Engineer: - B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 Years previous construction experience, preferably as a Mechanical Contractor or Prime Contractor in an industrial environment.
- Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
- Layout drawings (plan and elevation views)
- Process & Flow Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Piping Isometric Drawings
- Scheduling and estimating experience are a plus.
- Self-Starter – Ability to work alone on a project, and also as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
Expectations Of The Project Engineer
- Daily check-ins with assigned jobsite foremen (either over the phone or in person).
- Daily check-ins with the Operations Manager (either over the phone or in person).
- Weekly visits to each job site, at a minimum, or as required based on project needs.
- Photograph job progress (where allowed).
- Record subcontractor progress (where applicable).
- Submit salary timesheet to the Operations Manager for review and approval weekly.
- Submit mileage reimbursement and expense reimbursement (as applicable).
- FedEx delivery tickets, invoices, and any other paperwork to the Baltimore Office.
- Work 45-50 hours per week on a weekly salaried basis.

- 100% in office role with travel
- No Visa or Sponsorships. No Corp-to-Corp.
