The Senior Data Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the security of our data platform. This role involves working closely with our Data Platform team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data security, a deep understanding of backend data engineering, and experience with Databricks. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration, security and delivery. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior members of the data engineering team.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Partner with marketing and development teams to drive the use of data science across the Alpha Informatix product line.
- Participate in the development, validation and delivery of algorithms, statistical models and software analysis tools to support continued automation of the SafeOp neuromonitoring platform.
- Participate in the development, validation and delivery of state-of-the-art signal processing techniques to enhance the quality of physiological signals and improve device performance
- Design and build complex predictive models to address clinical and business questions.
- Develop methods to leverage/extract/process/analyze complex, high volume, high-dimensional datasets from both internal and external sources
- Design experiments, A/B testing, evaluate the quality of derived assets and develop dashboards to continuously monitor model performance
- Use machine learning and statistical skills in analyzing large datasets to extract actionable insights that inform{{{{:}}}} model development, experimental design, and clinical or business decisions

Education And Experience
Education{{{{:}}}} Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A master or higher degree is a plus
Experience{{{{:}}}} Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security engineering, with a focus on securing data platforms and infrastructure.
Technical Skills{{{{:}}}}
- Strong knowledge of data encryption, access control, and security protocols.
- Experience with Databricks and other big data platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark are highly desirable
- Ability to analyze complex data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative data engineering solutions.
- Experience with HIPAA and other regulatory compliance is desirable.
- Experience with SAP and other similar application is also desirable
- Experience with software security and vulnerability is desirable
- Familiarity with FIPS and CVE

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $130,000 to $150,000 Full-Time Annual Salary.
