BB6 Defense is on the hunt for an extraordinary Associate DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team! What You'll Be Doing:

Convert customer requirements into total systems solutions that fit within the technical and schedule constraints of the program
Operate in an agile development environment using DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
Conduct and participate in design reviews, sprint demonstrations, and after-action reviews
Develop and integrate scalable web-based data visualization and analytic platforms using tools such as Node.js, JavaScript, scalable databases (Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL), Docker, Kubernetes
Write and execute comprehensive test procedures
Deploy applications into development/staging/production environments
Peer-review and comment on software code and write/review/update software design and user-focused documentation (e.g., User Manuals)

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. (A combination of education and demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.) with 0-4 years of experience
Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
Experience developing in a Linux environment such as RHEL and Ubuntu
Experience using scripting languages such as bash, sh, Node.js, JavaScript (TypeScript), and Python
Experience with container-based systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with configuration management tools such as GitLab
Experience with YAML and JSON formats
Knowledge of agile project management and related tools such as Jira and Confluence
Strong testing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Active Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

SAFe Agile training such as Agile Software Engineer, SAFe for Teams, or SAFe for Government
Knowledge of automation languages such as Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform
Experience with data parsers and data ingest methodologies
Knowledge of analytics
Experience with RESTful web services and designing enterprise APIs (desired)
Web development experience with a focus on UI/UX
AI/ML experience

Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Active TS

Salary Range: $65,000 to $120,000
