Genesis10 is currently seeking a Security Engineer with our client for a 6-month contract working a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote) with our client out of Farmington, CT.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to join their team. This role reports directly to the CISO and plays a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our organization's security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute security projects as assigned by the CISO
- Configure and manage firewalls
- Troubleshoot security-related tickets and triage alerts
- Address internal security issues
- Collaborate closely with Networking and Infrastructure teams
- Automate security processes using Python
- Work with various security tools and platforms
Required Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in information security
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, trends, and technologies
- Extensive experience in security
- Proficiency in Python for automation tasks
- Experience with Prisma Access, Palo Alto, and Fortinet security solutions
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (experience with Blink is a plus)
- Knowledge of DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) and SSPM (SaaS Security Posture Management)
- Experience with SaaS applications, particularly Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, preferably Jira
Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $
