Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a small technical team in a large corporation
- Work in a regulated financial enterprise environment
- Focus on ensuring system health, performance and maintain application standards across multiple premise hosted applications
- Specific applications vary but include in-house developed code as well as packaged software deployed on premise
- Work will include installation, configuration, data integrations and systems management working with OS and middleware support teams
- Improve system efficiency and stability while meeting enterprise architecture standards
- Work in an Agile development following SDLC development with geographically dispersed teammates
- Provide technical leadership over multiple applications with diverse technologies
- Manage a list of tasks and drive to deliverable timelines
Requirements:
- 3+ years of systems experience
- Self-starter, motivated, innovative, able to adapt to priority changes and support deployment work as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely verbally and in written format
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Act in compliance with enterprise standards
- Able to work independently with minimal oversight as well as within a distributed scrum team
- Expertise with premise hosted web/application servers: IIS, ASP, CSS, MS SSRS
- Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle; querying data, transformation, basic data security and management
- Experience with .Net, Angular, CSS, C#, and API development, SOAP/REST development
- Experience with integration technologies i.e., Informatica, MuleSoft, SSIS and job scheduling technologies i.e., AutoSys, Hangfire, etc.
- Experience managing web applications to include remotely connecting to servers, installing/uninstalling software components
- Good working knowledge of what basic software components and attention to testing detail
- Versed in all layers of system design from hardware to operating system to database to web /middleware and standard web application functions
- Flexible to learn specific products and willing to corporate specific security and configuration standards
- Strong communications skills and ability to work independently
