Role: SOC Analyst

Location: Newark, CA (Onsite)

Hours/Schedule: Mon thru Fri(8:30AM - 5:30PM)

Duration: 6 Months with high possibilities of extension

Key Responsibilities

Monitor Vehicle Networks: Continuously monitor vehicle networks for security issues and vulnerabilities.
Incident Investigation: Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents related to vehicle systems, documenting findings and assessing the damage.
Security Measures: Install and operate security measures, including firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect vehicle systems and information infrastructure.
Documentation: Document security breaches and vulnerabilities, maintaining thorough records to ensure high-security standards.
Vulnerability Management: Identify, fix, and mitigate detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard in vehicle systems.
Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest IT security trends, news, and best practices, particularly in the automotive domain.
Best Practices: Develop and implement company-wide best practices for Cybersecurity in vehicle systems.
Support Colleagues: Assist colleagues in installing security software and understanding information security management in the automotive context.
Research and Recommendations: Research security enhancements and provide recommendations to management.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards, including ISO 27001 and ISO 21434.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information technology, with a focus on the automotive domain.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or relevant work experience.
SIEM Systems: Real-world experience using at least one major SIEM system.
Log Analysis: Proficiency in log analysis, event correlation, and incident management procedures and systems.
Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including knowledge of protocols and services relevant to vehicle systems.
Certifications: Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, SANS, etc.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with security compliance standards, particularly ISO 27001 and ISO 21434.
