Director of IT Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, this is a unique opportunity to join a niche industry as a Director of IT, ensuring all parts of the company's IT infrastructure function effectively. This includes managing networks, servers, storage, security, and applications. The Director of IT will be responsible for performing a wide variety of complex technical tasks managing all aspects of department operations to include the development of new technical solutions as well as the supporting and maintaining existing applications and development. In addition, the Director of IT will be tasked to improve the internal user experience with Symphony Wireless information technology systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation and automation of critical processes and systems across the various departments. Finding best practice workflow development and implementation solutions.
- Managing internal corporate networking, corporate IT policies, user and desktop environments, hardware procurement, and helpdesk/tier 1 support.
- Provide technology solutions and recommendations in support of implementing and execution of the company’s strategic initiatives across various departments.
- Take a lead role in talent strategy, attracting, recruiting, mentoring, and developing top IT and software engineering talents to ensure the success of company’s technology initiatives.
- Manage, maintain, and enhance the company’s existing CRM platform’s performance, Salesforce, to provide better data and information to sales, marketing, and operations departments. Establish executive team required KPIs and generate automatic reports for the various groups.
- Continuously review the company’s existing technology platforms and recommend ways to streamline processes, platform usage, and technology enhancement to improve quality of data and provide real-time visibility into critical KPIs and data across all departments.
- Provide initial support for IT-related issues to end-users, resolving basic technical problems and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Establish and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard company data and infrastructure, including endpoint protection measures.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring a secure and productive IT environment while maintaining compliance with company-wide IT standards.
- Manage the procurement of hardware and IT equipment, evaluating vendors and negotiating contracts for cost-effective purchases.
- Conduct training sessions for tier 1 support and end-users and troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues as they arise.
- Develop onboarding processes for new employees, providing IT orientation and resources to ensure a smooth transition into the IT environment.
- Conduct recurring leadership development conversations, developing/coaching team members including biweekly 1:1s, effectively determine incentive payout, and give transformational performance feedback.
- Formulate, propose, and manage the IT department’s annual budget in line with the company’s technology requirements and initiatives.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing information technology systems
- Minimum of 5 years of active experience in architecture, design, engineering, and implementation within a complex enterprise cloud environment
- Demonstrated recent hands-on experience in designing, engineering, and successfully implementing enterprise-grade software products
- Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and initiatives to non-technical stakeholders
- Expertise in solution architecture with a diverse range of experiences, enabling effective resolution of complex issues
- Proficiency in managing networking equipment for optimal functionality and cost, including firewalls and access points
- Hand-on experience with Salesforce development is a plus
- Ability to deploy, manage, and secure computing devices for staff members on a regular basis
- Willingness to be an active participant in projects in parallel to managing team members and projects.
- Be present in the office 4 days per week and ability for occasional business travels.
