As a Cloud End User Technology Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our desktop infrastructure. Your expertise will directly impact our global workforce, enabling effective local & remote work and enhancing operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enhancing remote work capabilities by empowering users with the tools and technologies required to perform their job functions efficiently from any location or supported device
- Troubleshooting and analyzing service disruptions to determine the root cause of issues and developing solutions for improved reliability
- Managing end user computing devices, including OS and third-party patching
- Implementing CIS critical security controls and access policies
- Designing and implementing scalable solutions that adapt to changing business needs
- Staying ahead of technology trends and providing high-level technical expertise
- Ensuring the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy for our end user computing infrastructure
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
- Administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra
- Proactively monitoring the environment and developing performance baselines
- Contributing to Knowledge Base articles for reference by L1 and L2 support teams
- Handling L3 escalations from the help desk, including troubleshooting:
- Endpoint and workstation application-related issues/incidents
- Microsoft O365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Windows client & server operating systems
- Hardware drivers and firmware
- Physical and virtual computing platforms
- Networking problems related to DNS, DHCP, WiFi, and other related protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- A relevant degree such as BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields
- 5-8 years of experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Client/Server OS & Apps, AD)
- Strong generalist capabilities, with expertise in handling solution design, operational tasks, in-depth troubleshooting, and engineering performance enhancements
Preferred Technologies and Expertise:
- Microsoft InTune & related Azure-based services
- Microsoft Active Directory / Entra AD
- Microsoft SCCM/MECM
- ServiceNow / ITIL
- Tanium or similar client management systems
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Endpoint monitoring solutions (e.g. NexThink, ExtraHop, ControlUp, SCOM)
- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Software packaging and scripting (PowerShell, batch, etc.)
- Technical writing
- Excellent customer-facing problem-solving abilities
