The Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, IT, the Senior Manager, IT Support and Implementation, will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of IT support services and the successful implementation of new IT systems and solutions across the organization. This role will involve managing IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, maintaining high levels of customer service and support, and hiring and leading a small team of IT professionals as the organization grows.
Responsibilities:
Team Building and Leadership:
· Hire and develop the IT implementation and support team for the US and Canadian business units as business growth requires.
· Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptability in the team.
· Ensure successful IT system implementations and outstanding IT support.
Implementation of IT Systems:
· Implement complex pharmaceutical specific systems such as CRM, Regulatory, and compliance solutions in support of organizational objectives.
· Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
· Liaise between departmental stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT implementations.
· Provide support post roll out and provide potential improvements for future projects.
IT Support Framework Development:
· Develop and deploy IT support frameworks tailored to the needs of the organization.
· Standardize processes for the efficient resolutions of IT issues.
· Hardware Support Management:
· Oversee support for Mac, PC, and iOS devices, ensuring compatibility and integration with IT software systems.
User Training and Education:
· Develop training materials and documentation specific to the organization’s IT systems.
· Conduct specialized training sessions for users.
Compliance and Security:
· Ensure IT operations comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· At least 7 years of IT experience, with significant exposure to implementing enterprise software, with pharmaceutical software experience preferred.
· Strong leadership skills and experience in building IT implementation and support teams.
· Expertise in hardware environments including Macs, PCs, and iOS devices.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the pharmaceutical sector.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Ability to train and give instructions to a non-technical audience.
· Advanced knowledge of cloud-based software including Office365 and Salesforce.
· Ability to travel occasionally within the USA and Canada.
