We are currently seeking a
Senior System Administrator to join
our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery.
This is a fast paced, challenging, and career rewarding experience on one of the most complex and high-profile IC programs within the government.
Travel to non-warzone areas up to 30% of the time is required.
Primary Job Duties & Required Experience:
- Troubleshooting workstations and desktop applications
- Provide Tier I & II problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution or escalates to Engineering team
- Ensure the performance of the systems and add new users to the system
- Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients via telephone or using tools to gain remote access
- May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware, software, printers, installation, electronic mail, digital senders, and operating systems
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide support IT systems including: Day-to-day operations; Monitoring and problem resolution for all to the client problems
- Provide support for communication of status to management and internal customers
- Coordinates and implements security measures to safeguard computer databases
- Responsible for operations related to systems management software
- Travel to non-warzone areas up to 30% of the time is required

- Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients via telephone or using tools to gain remote access for issues the Helpdesk is unable to resolve
- Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware, software, printers, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems
- Coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases
- Responsible for delivering and setting up site hardware
- Responsible for troubleshooting logon problems, printers. Outlook/Exchange email problems, Web browsing/internet Explorer issue, Network and workstation connectivity, SharePoint, Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office products
- Creation of system documentation, standard operating procedures, and system guides
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and Windows 10
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows desktop operating system build processes and tools

Job Requirements
- Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security is required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 6-10 years of relevant professional work experience required
- Extensive experience or training related to a particular skill, language, system, or technology
- Capable of not only delivering a capability tied to that skill, but also passing their knowledge on to others
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
- Ability to prioritize, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Physical Demands: Position will require frequent sitting, standing, and/or mobility within an office setting. Employee must be able to use hands to complete work at a workstation/computer, be able to reach, type and manipulate with hands, fingers, and arms; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; talk, see and hear.
Work Environment: Work is performed on client site in a professional office environment with moderate stress and noise levels. Position requires employee to effectively use a computer, potentially for long periods of time, and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions. Candidate should be both customer-focused and present a team approach to overall work.
Schedule: Business core hours are Monday through Friday, from 10am - 2pm ET. Standard work hours may vary for this position based upon contract requirements. Position will be located
onsite at a customer facility in
Herndon, VA.
