Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join their IT team at a prestigious law firm in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the firm’s network infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, and optimal performance. This role requires expertise in network administration, troubleshooting, and supporting legal software applications in a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer the firm’s network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and security.
- Manage and support Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise applications.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and backup procedures align with legal industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for attorneys, staff, and remote users.
- Work closely with the IT team to support server maintenance, cloud integrations, and disaster recovery planning.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, including network access controls and endpoint protection.
- Document network configurations, processes, and security protocols.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve network performance and security.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network and hardware issues.
- Familiarity with legal software and case management systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
