TL;DR
We’re seeking an exceptional technology leader to define and deliver Viva Care’s platform—a comprehensive, tech‑enabled fertility planning and treatment management solution for women (ages 27–40) and their loved ones.
Why Viva Care?
Our mission is to empower everyone—regardless of gender, orientation, location, or age—to start their family on their own terms, at their own pace, with confidence and peace of mind.
- Tackle a global challenge: 1 in 6 people worldwide experiences infertility; in the U.S., IVF accounts for 2% of births, yet success rates for women over 35 often fall below 40%. Viva Care’s ecosystem of apps bridges critical gaps to improve outcomes.
- Grow and thrive together: You’ll help build an industry‑leading solution in fertility care, working alongside top talent in a culture that values high standards, continuous learning, and fun.
- Expand your network: Collaborate with thought leaders in health tech, reproductive health, mental health, and LGBTQ+ care.
- Shape something big: Join at a pivotal moment—own meaningful equity, influence our strategy, shape our culture, and help define a new category.
It's a fascinating time to build in the reproductive health space.
What You’ll Do
- Own the technology vision, architecture, and execution for Viva Care’s fertility planning and treatment management platform.
- Lead end‑to‑end product delivery: from MVP launch to scaling and optimization.
- Build, mentor, and grow a high‑performance engineering team.
- Collaborate closely with design, product, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Establish engineering best practices, Agile workflows, and continuous‑delivery pipelines.
- Leverage your professional network to recruit top technical talent and strategic partners.
Who You Are
- Results‑oriented: You move fast, find creative solutions, and deliver on time. You are nimble, scrappy, and methodical.
- Deep technical expertise: You’re hands‑on in architecture, backend/frontend stacks, and DevOps.
- AI-savvy: you are fascinated by the profound impacts AI brings to today's workplace and actively integrate it into our workflow so we can ship faster and smarter.
- Strategic thinker: You contribute to roadmap planning, stakeholder alignment, and long‑term vision beyond code.
- Communicative and Collaborative: You excel at communicating technical concepts to non-tech folks, or translating visions into technical requirements and builds. You understand how design, product management, engineering, and marketing intersect—and you foster cross‑functional teamwork.
- Resourceful problem‑solver: You thrive in ambiguity and know how to prioritize under tight constraints.
- Stable life outside of work: so you can bring energy, maturity, and focus to the role.
- Progress over perfection: you've experienced the fundamental differences between a startup and a large corporation, and still choose the startup life.
- Proven founder or early‑stage leader: Prior entrepreneurial or “exit” experience a plus, ideally in consumer health, healthcare, or SaaS.
- Nice‑to‑haves:
- Experience with consumer‑facing mobile/web apps in a regulated environment (HIPAA).
- Familiarity with Agile, user‑testing methodologies, and continuous‑delivery practices.
- Based in—or willing to spend time in—the NYC metro area.

- A. Equity‑only compensation.
- B. Deferred cash payout upon raising >$500K.
- Phase 2 (Co‑founder): Upon successful MVP launch and mutual interest, transition to full‑time co‑founder with an equity split and salary.
