Systems Administrator

This exiting role helps operate and maintain a critical National Security IT environment, and design, develop, and implement enhancements to the IT environment that will provide the stability and flexibility required to meet mission needs. The program operates a DevSecOps execution model that integrates services, hardware, software, and data support; incorporates new sources; maintains ingestion services as formats/schemas change; improves throughput and efficiency; develops and deploys self-service tools to exploit and use data more quickly, thoroughly, and robustly; and manages compliance requirements as may be necessary to satisfy service, application, tool, data, and other IT mission needs.
As a Systems Administrator at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
- Monitoring and managing system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Performing systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Interacting with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Making recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Potentially assisting and managing less experienced staff

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of technical experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- At least eight (8) years of experience administrating application infrastructure and servers, data storage solutions, and deployed software applications.
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD 8570 compliance –at minimum, IAT Category, Level II
