Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Digital Marketplace, Innovation, Cloud, Cybersecurity - Up to $270,000 + 20% Bonus + Equity - Fully Remote (U.S. Based)
The Opportunity:
I'm recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing digital commerce company seeking a forward-thinking Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its technology function. This fully remote role is ideal for a senior IT leader ready to drive innovation, scale platforms, and build high-performing teams in a dynamic, product-focused environment. You'll report directly to the CEO and help shape the company's next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead company-wide IT and digital strategy
- Oversee performance, scalability, and security of a high-traffic digital platform
- Lead digital transformation and implement emerging tech (AI, ML, automation)
- Manage infrastructure, integrations, and cloud operations
- Ensure best-in-class cybersecurity and data compliance
- Build and mentor a skilled, agile IT organization
- Manage external technology vendors and key partners
Ideal Background:
- 10+ years in senior IT leadership roles (CIO, CTO, VP Engineering, etc.)
- Experience with digital platforms-marketplaces, eCommerce, SaaS, or transactional systems
- Strong technical foundation in cloud, security, and enterprise architecture
- Proven track record of innovation and digital transformation
- Bachelor's in a technical field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Up to $270,000 base salary
- 20% annual bonus
