We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator/Engineer to maintain a reliable, secure, and efficient network environment. The ideal candidate will be able to support all technical systems and teammates.
*** Qualified candidates should live in the Metropolitan NYC area (currently) and may be required to commute 1-2x a month to their office (on a need be basis) ***
Essential Functions include the following:
• Act as senior technical resource supporting the company, and directly assisting IT Leadership
• Be a 24x7x365 primary point of contact for all cyber security alerts/events
• Fully administer, configure, and maintain company PCs, servers, and network devices
• Maintain network architecture connectivity and ensure adherence to security protocols
• Maintain deployment and patch management of all systems
• Monitor network and system performance (availability, utilization, etc.)
• Specify system requirements and design solutions to meet expectations
• Manage software licenses and application installations, updates
• Oversight and maintenance of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and procedures
• Resolve escalated IT support requests where needed
• Research issues, escalating where appropriate, and providing solutions
• Assist in defining and developing network policies and procedures
• Assist with digesting vendor bids and proposals, providing technical input
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Education/Experience:
• 8+ years’ experience in graduated IT support roles
• Bachelor's Degree
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of understanding
• Proficiency in Windows-based systems, and modern network architecture
• VoIP administration experience, including configuration and troubleshooting of protocols
• WAN/LAN/VPN/Cloud management experience, including configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience performing upgrades, installations, and migrations of systems
• Professional presentation/appearance
• Ability to manage competing priorities and manage escalated issues
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be the "go-to" for all technical issues
