Position: Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) – 1099 Contractor
We are seeking experienced Certified CMMC Assessors (CCAs), or candidates who are close to completing their CCA certification, to join our expanding team on a 1099 contractor basis. This is a remote, project-based role with flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct official CMMC assessments for clients across various industries.
- Lead and participate in CMMC mock assessments to help organizations prepare for certification.
- Perform comprehensive gap assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend remediation strategies.
- Develop and review compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, System Security Plans (SSPs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
- Collaborate with client teams to ensure understanding and implementation of CMMC requirements.
- Provide expert guidance and clear communication throughout the assessment and documentation process.
Qualifications
- Active CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) credential, or in the final stages of CCA certification.
- Demonstrated experience conducting CMMC, mock, or gap assessments.
- Strong working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and the CMMC framework.
- Experience developing compliance documentation such as policies, procedures, SSPs, and POAMs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
- U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of client engagements.
