Position Summary
- Support, maintain, build, deploy, and troubleshoot within NetApp SANs, CommVault, VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, and Active Directory environments
- Administer physical and virtual infrastructure, including Cisco UCS servers and Nutanix hyper-converged systems
- Collaborate with IT leadership, project sponsors, and IS teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Promote system performance, uptime, and disaster recovery through best practices and secure configurations
- Provide cross-training and develop knowledge base materials to support team development
Essential Job Duties
- Oversee daily operations and administration of NetApp SAN, CommVault, VMware, and Windows Server platforms
- Maintain and update “as-built” and configuration documentation for systems and subsystems
- Respond to support tickets and service requests, offering Tier 3 technical assistance
- Mentor lower-tier support teams and manage incident escalation processes
- Ensure proactive communication with users and help prevent recurring issues
Additional Responsibilities
- Install and configure software/hardware to support disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Track and manage technical issues using internal problem tracking systems
- Provide technical support and coordination for special IT projects
- Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware/software upgrades and improvements
- Participate in ongoing professional development through training and conferences
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of senior-level technical experience in enterprise-class SAN, Windows Server, and virtual infrastructure environments
- Expertise with:
- NetApp SANs, CommVault Backup
- VMware ESX, Windows Server, Active Directory
- Cisco UCS servers and Nutanix infrastructure
- Bonus: Understanding of EPIC or other medical applications
