About the Job:
We seek a qualified Systems Administrator to support a key client at their facility near Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and diverse technical skills, including Windows servers, desktop clients, networking infrastructure, and AWS cloud environments.
You will join a small but nimble team supporting an environment of approximately 400 users based on-site and around the globe. Our client is all-in on cloud services and maintains a robust AWS-based data center with multiple industry-specific business systems running around the clock.
Requirements:
Location: On-site at a client location in Glendale, AZ
Work Schedule: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM AZ local time
Education and Experience: Minimum 5 years professional experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Work under limited supervision to maintain the AWS environment and Windows-based server infrastructure
· Execute system engineering tasks under large engineering projects at the direction of the VP of Infrastructure
· Perform troubleshooting and triage for business systems and infrastructure as Tier-4 support for the client.
· Provide backup support to the Lead System Administrator and collaborate on initiatives driving key transformations and business goals.
· Provide engineering escalation support for multiple managed services providers and on-site Tier 2/3 engineers to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues.
· Perform network and routing troubleshooting to resolve issues at local facilities and within the cloud environments.
· Provide additional support for network device troubleshooting, including printers, RFID scanners, WIFI access points, building control systems, and video teleconferencing capabilities.
· Manage workload in various ticketing and project management systems and provide status reporting for internal and external audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
· AWS Associate, Professional, and Specialty certifications are highly desired.
· Cisco Meraki certification, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent experience
· Expert-level experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and Group Policy management.
· Strong experience operating and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based data centers
· Diverse understanding of system integrations, including Oracle and SQL databases, Okta Identity Solutions, Veeam backup, and modern XDR cybersecurity products
· Strong understanding of networking concepts, AWS routing and networking, RADIUS, load balancers, firewalls, and similar technologies.
· Experience working with a combination of local and remote teams distributed around the globe.
· Experience working with diverse groups, users, and executives with wide-ranging technical experience
