Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) plays a crucial role in shaping the company's technology vision and driving strategic growth through innovative solutions. This leader is responsible for overseeing the development and optimization of the company's technology infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation. The CTO collaborates closely with other C-suite executives to ensure technology supports both immediate and long-term company goals.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 10-15 years in technology leadership, ideally at a senior management or C-level.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale technology teams and complex projects.
- Strong expertise in software development, system architecture, cloud platforms, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Experience in fintech, hospitality, or restaurant industries is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology with overall business goals.
- Proficient in Agile, DevOps, and other software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a CTO or VP of Engineering, with familiarity in technologies such as React Native, Databricks, C++, POS systems, loyalty programs, and payment processors.
- Experience scaling technology teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
- Strong network within the tech community, facilitating partnerships and recruitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with business objectives.
- Lead innovation efforts, ensuring the company stays ahead with scalable, secure, and cutting-edge technology.
- Assess and select the right technology platforms, including web, mobile, cloud services, and databases, to support company services.
- Forge and maintain strategic technology partnerships that align with and support business goals.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and grow the IT and engineering teams.
- Manage technology-related recruitment and foster a high-performance culture within the team.
- Cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment, focused on continuous improvement.
- Promote ongoing learning and professional growth, encouraging team members to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Product Development:
- Oversee the planning and execution of new product and software development.
- Ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with business strategy and meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with product management and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable tech solutions.
- Focus on creating technology that enhances the customer experience, with seamless user interfaces and dependable functionality.
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure robust, secure, and scalable systems and technology operations.
- Implement and enforce governance, technology policies, and cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor technology performance through KPIs and manage IT budgets effectively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team to define market and business strategies.
- Provide regular technology updates and strategic insights to the board and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, sales, and client services, to ensure technology investments align with business strategies.
- Support cross-functional teams to drive technology initiatives that contribute to company success.
- Innovation & Trends:
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments.
- Identify and implement technological advancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
