Through programs like Live in Permission, Black Moms Anonymous, the Cultural Wellness Network Association, the Wellness for the Culture Expo, and the One Day You Will Live Scholarship, we serve individuals, families, and communities seeking restoration and support that honors both culture and calling.
Role Description:This is a contract role for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Wellness for the Culture LLC. The COO will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, developing and implementing business strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring operational efficiency across all program areas. Additional responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, analyzing data to improve processes, and collaborating with the Founder and other leaders to achieve organizational goals.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about culturally competent mental health, entrepreneurial in spirit, and ready to shape sustainable systems rooted in healing, advocacy, and faith.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day operations across all programs
- Lead business systems, internal infrastructure, and team management
- Develop and execute operational and strategic plans
- Manage organizational budgeting and financial forecasting
- Monitor key performance indicators and improve processes based on data
- Collaborate with the Founder on mission alignment and growth strategy
- Build and maintain partnerships to support expansion and sustainability
Minimum Qualifications:- Must hold LICSW or LMHC
- Master’s in Psychology or a related field required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (minimum); advanced degrees preferred
- Entrepreneurial experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational management experience
- Bonus: Experience in startups or early-stage organizational growth
- Strong skills in Business Planning and Operations Management
- Proficient in Finance and Budgeting
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment
