Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $34 - $40 per hour
Position Overview
The Senior Systems Administrator, under the supervision of the Information Systems Manager, will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting client systems, as well as supporting server administration. This role requires strong technical skills, adaptability, and the ability to respond to after-hours needs as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
8+ years of experience with general information system administrative duties
Intermediate-level experience with macOS and Linux platforms
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status (required for government contract work)
Ability to obtain a security clearance and pass a background investigation
Willingness to work non-standard hours and respond to after-hours support calls
Strong technical background with the ability to quickly learn new skills
Intermediate knowledge of physical layer networking
Highly detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance
Reliable transportation for local travel as needed
Essential Functions
Provide daily desktop support for Windows systems, both remotely and onsite
Monitor and respond to incoming support requests in a timely manner
Configure, deploy, and support Windows-based workstation hardware
Offer backup support for macOS and Linux systems as needed
Assist vendors during system migrations and onsite conferences
Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 IT support to staff and guests
Build, configure, upgrade, and maintain IT-related hardware
Support Windows-based Infor VISUAL servers and client software
Maintain and support SolidWorks clients, licensing, and PDM server software
Document IT processes and create user guides and setup instructions
Deploy and configure hardware/software for new employee onboarding
Support corporate meetings and address IT emergencies as directed
Coordinate team tasks as assigned by the Information Systems Manager
Complete ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) training for working in sensitive areas
Non-Essential Functions
Research and test software and hardware solutions as requested
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Travel to vendors for equipment maintenance as needed
