One of our companies is currently looking for an
Infrastructure Administrator in
Greenville, South Carolina, United States.
This role involves managing and maintaining both public cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems to ensure their stability, security, and optimal performance. The Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for overseeing cloud environments, system administration, virtualization, and storage management, while ensuring compliance with security protocols and industry best practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective documentation will be key to success in this role.
Accountabilities:
- Manage public cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring performance, security, and cost-efficiency
- Administer and optimize virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM, ensuring high performance and resource allocation
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, automate application deployments, and monitor cluster health and security
- Perform system administration tasks to ensure high availability and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Oversee storage solutions (SAN, NAS, cloud storage) and implement disaster recovery processes to maintain data integrity
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data protection and compliance with retention policies
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure with organizational needs
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure administration or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Solid understanding of system administration across both Linux and Windows servers
- Familiarity with storage management solutions and disaster recovery best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, CKA) are a plus
