Job Title: ATLAS System Administrator
Location: Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
We’re hiring an ATLAS System Administrator to support mission-critical systems at Vandenberg SFB. In this role, you’ll work on advanced space operations systems, ensuring smooth performance and fast recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot ATLAS systems, servers, and clients.
- Perform system backups, failovers, and recovery tasks to ensure 24/7 operational readiness.
- Maintain hardware/software functionality and debug complex issues.
- Create system documentation, SOPs, and maintain accurate logs.
- Collaborate with SMEs and support teams to ensure uptime and resolve anomalies.
- Support system upgrades, patching, and security compliance.
- Assist with user training, system scheduling, and performance tuning.
Required Qualifications:
✔ U.S. Citizen with an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
✔ IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, etc.)
✔ 2+ years of experience in system administration
✔ Strong background with Windows OS and system hardware
✔ Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies and network troubleshooting
✔ Understanding of DoD security standards and system hardening practices
Preferred Skills:
➤ VMware VCP or VCAP certification
➤ Hands-on experience with Red Hat or Linux-based systems
➤ Experience supporting space operations or orbital analysis platforms
➤ Exposure to cybersecurity tools, STIG compliance, and RMF processes
➤ Familiarity with SPADOC or other military command & control systems
