We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Administrator!
As a Systems Administrator you are responsible for protecting the organization's critical systems and assets, building solutions, implementing new software and hardware, providing training, and assisting in developing the overall IT strategy. The systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, cloud solutions, data/database & application & equipment security, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software applications, and hardware
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace
- Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights
- Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
- Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
- Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
- Provide and maintain a high degree of customer service and satisfaction
- Additional duties as required or assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM, computer programs
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with IT infrastructure and cloud solutions, including Azure, Windows Server, AVD, and more.
- Experience with cloud environment, specifically MS Azure. Deep knowledge of technologies such as Universal Printing, Intune and other MDM platforms, MS Defender. Patch management.
- General knowledge of network technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs in a multi-site environment.
- Evaluate and recommend new products and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies for enterprise application.
- Provide advanced multi-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and experience in technical architecture and design.
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems, setup and administration – a plus.
- Desire and ability to remain up to date on current technologies, while maintaining existing technology environments
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to travel
- Must be able to continuously talk, hear and speak with good articulation and voice control.
- Must be able to use fingers and hands to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms to lift, file and handle inventory
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under significant stress and meet high performance demands
- Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at times
- Must be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl for a variety of equipment installations or cabling installs
- Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to drive 4-6 hours
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
