The Role:
As a vCIO, you will act as a trusted technology advisor, working closely with clients to develop IT strategies, assess infrastructure, enhance security, and oversee project execution. You’ll collaborate with security, technology, and project teams to ensure seamless IT operations while fostering strong client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Planning – Assess business objectives, develop IT roadmaps, and present solutions.
- Technology Assessments – Analyze existing IT infrastructure and recommend optimizations.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management – Identify security risks, ensure compliance, and collaborate with vCISO.
- Vendor & Budget Management – Negotiate contracts, oversee vendor relationships, and manage IT budgets.
- Project Leadership – Oversee IT projects, cloud migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Client Relationship Management – Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), provide strategic guidance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a vCIO or similar role within an MSP.
- Deep knowledge of IT systems, cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructures (routing, switching, firewalls, and security).
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions to business leaders.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, ITIL) a plus.
- Familiarity with Financial or Legal services is a plus.
