Omitron is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Infrastructure Technician to oversee and maintain our organization’s IT systems, networks, and security infrastructure on our team at Vandenberg SFB, CA. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our IT environment through effective management of network, systems, storage, and disaster recovery processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. They must be available for limited surge and late-night support during test events, with on-call support for non-duty hours and weekends.

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues.
- Optimizing network infrastructure for speed and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting network problems and ensuring connectivity.
- Implementing and maintaining network security measures.
- Managing network devices and protocols.
- Overseeing and managing IT systems on-prem and cloud-based.
- Ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure.
- Deploying and managing hardware and software.
- Configuring and maintaining systems.
- Monitoring system performance and resource utilization.
- Identifying and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Monitoring for security breaches and incidents.
- Ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Managing storage resources, including servers, storage devices, and cloud storage.
- Ensuring data availability and integrity.
- Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions.
- Optimizing storage performance and capacity.
- Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Testing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensuring that systems and data can be restored quickly in the event of a disaster.
- Continuously monitoring infrastructure performance and identifying potential problems before they impact operations.
- Performing regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Quickly identifying and resolving issues.
- Implementing automation to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders and collaborating with other IT teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required to start
- Education: Bachelors or M.S. in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science related discipline
- Experience: 10+ years (15+ years in lieu of degree) of experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration roles
- Certification: One of the following 8140 or 8570 certifications:
- Security + CE
- GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT)
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC)
- FITSP-Auditor-NG
- FITSP-Manager-NG
- CASP CE
- CISSP (Or Associate)
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- GCED
- GCIH
- Proficiency in managing networks, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and security protocols
- Experience with backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Must be available for limited surge and late-night support during test events, with on-call support for non-duty hours and weekends.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $196,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
