Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CTO, located in the San Francisco Bay Area (we're open to discussing remote work options for the right candidate). CTO will be responsible for designing and building the architecture of AI-driven platforms, developing and deploying scalable software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing best practices for software development and deployment. They will also lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Qualifications
- Mastery of software development languages like Python or Java, with a track record of building sophisticated, high-performance systems
- Deep expertise in AI and machine learning technologies, ideally with contributions to cutting-edge models or frameworks
- Exceptional command of system architecture, cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and distributed systems design
- Proven ability to craft scalable, flawless web applications and APIs that power mission-critical platforms
- Excellent problem-solving prowess, with a knack for debugging the most complex, head-scratching challenges
- Communication and collaboration skills, capable of inspiring teams and articulating visionary ideas
- Bachelor’s or Master’s from a top-tier institution like MIT, Stanford, Caltech, or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a PhD or groundbreaking research experience is a major plus
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced startup environment—or better yet, a history of co-founding or scaling one—is highly desirable
