Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator.
This role is a full time direct hire permanent position.
The role will be 4 days on site in their Southlake location and 1 day work from home.
Position purpose
The System Administrator will provide advanced technical support and administration of Enterprise-class storage, security, network, communication, and virtualization environments as well as hold vendor specific certifications.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Work closely with the management to gather input, diagnose root causes, and resolve problems
- Document processes to standardize and streamline end user experience.
- Proactively communicate with management throughout the problem resolution process.
- Interface with executives, engineers, and vendor technical support resources.
- Maintain hybrid server infrastructure and assist in root cause analysis of any system issues.
- Assist in developing a disaster recovery plan, assist in testing plan and update documentation as needed
- Implement and maintain various methods of identity, security, and authentication methods. (SSO, MFA, conditional access)
- Administer, integrate, and secure Office 365 to maintain a single uniform communication platform
- Recommend and justify any upgrades to infrastructure and systems
- Management, monitoring, and deployment of Vmware/Nutanix/Azure/storage assets
- Build, implement, and document new servers according to industry best practices
- Document data flows between internal and external environments.
- Participate in on-going certification and training opportunities.
- Provide mentoring and leadership to team members as appropriate.
- Maintaining, and providing appropriate access to SQL instances
- Windows server and Linux administration/troubleshooting
- Group policy administration/troubleshooting
- Developing and automating task using various scripting languages
- Manage McAfee Epo Security, products, policies, and deployment task
- Mimecast email security administration
- Modifying and maintaining public, and internal DNS records
- Managing delegated permissions
- Managing clustered resources
- Managing a load balanced Windows RDS environment
- Environment onboarding, and consolidation

- Experience supporting networking, security, virtualization, storage software and hardware products, including:
- Experience supporting or troubleshooting in an IT environment (sever, application, or infrastructure).
- Solid understanding of Windows Server Products, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
- Proven ability to diagnose, resolve, and document technical support issues.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Positive, customer-centric approach.
