Systems Administrator I

We have since grown to the largest Oklahoma-owned provider of Data Center and MSP services in the state – providing Co-location, Private Cloud, and MSP services to businesses of all sizes and types across 3 enterprise-class Data Centers.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Address customer issues via inbound phone calls to our technical support line.
- Address customer issues via inbound emails to our trouble ticketing system.
- Track time of billable customer issues via our trouble ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot customer issues on customer premises.
- Provision & deploy new physical and virtual server & network environments for clients.
- Provide first-level response to alerts from our various server, network and facility monitoring systems.
- Systems and process documentation.
- Provide escort into our Data Center facilities to our Co-location customers.
- Assist with installation of customer equipment in our Data Centers, which may require lifting of heavy server equipment.
- Occasional network cabling, including the ability to punch-down standard CAT5E/CAT6 cabling and install RJ-45 ends.
- Perform daily visual checks of Data Center systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of Data Center facilities.
- Participate in a 24/7 On Call Rotation Schedule (Required)

Qualifications

- Basic Experience with virtualization technology (Hyper-V preferred).
- Basic Experience with Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, Group Policy, Security Groups, etc.)
- Basic Office 365 Experience
- Basic Experience in designing/troubleshooting production network environments.
- Basic Firewall setup (SonicWALL preferred), IPSEC VPN, design and implementation of zones/NAT/ACLs.
Education and/or Experience
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft systems both on premise and Azure based technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate issues and resolutions.
- Ability to understand and present TulsaConnect’s vision strategy and organization.
- Commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Language Skills
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in a variety of situations.

Current Driver’s License.
