Position Overview
Responsible for the technical and operational support of the College’s network systems. Installs and troubleshoots a variety of network hardware and software components. Configures, tunes and maintains data communications network and network systems. Administers and maintains remote access to select data systems. Plans for recovery from system failures and maintains data backups of information stored on the network. Administers centralized storage systems, and on-premise email system. Researches and recommends customization of network technology and equipment. Provides support to other branches of Information Technology to facilitate troubleshooting and new system implementations. There are two positions available. These positions are open until filled with an initial review date of 02/13/2012.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or two years of college coursework within specific subject area related to the position required. Minimum of one year related experience required. Experience with routers and switches in an enterprise environment, firewall platforms and applications, and Active Directory Management are all required. Wireless administration in an enterprise environment knowledge required. Detail oriented, conflict resolution skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to research information for problem solving are all required.

Preferred Qualifications
Windows Server 2008/2008R, Domain Name System ( DNS ) Administration, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ( DHCP ) Administration knowledge are all preferred. Miscrosoft Certified Systems Administrator ( MSCA ), Microsoft Certified IT Professional ( MCITP ), and Cisco Certified Network Associate ( CCNA ) are all preferred.
