Summary Objectives
The IT Systems Administrator supports end users with various IT problems including maintaining and administering company servers and network, Office 365 application, daily helpdesk tickets, and maintaining ERP technical systems. In addition, the Administrator supports the Director of IT with analyzing and implementing enhancements, and upgrades. Will act as the primary technical support contact for internal and external teams across multiple locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Administration of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP software
· Manages the company ticketing system and all level 1 and 2 requests.
· Implements, monitors, and provides technical support of systems and user devices.
· Implements user systems to include desktops, machinery control PC’s and conference systems.
· Administers and assures connectivity of customer’s Windows based platforms.
· Maintain and administer company servers and network.
· Maintain and administer all Office 365 applications.
· Support of the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals, instrument-controlled software, core desktop applications and initial configuration of computers.
· Manage employee technical on-boarding/termination and account creation/removal and adjustments to permissions.
· Manage on-boarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment.
· Implements Windows based security, including but not limited to: O365 user / group permissions, SharePoint permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc.
· Analyzes, identifies, and implements enhancements, upgrades and/or solutions to improve the overall support of the desktop platform in a timely manner.
· Ensures adherence to corporate policies and SOX audit requirements through periodic reporting and compliance programs.
· Maintenance and configuration of databases such as SQL Server and Access
· Acts as the technical support contact for external support teams.
· Provides technical support for new system validations and change management efforts.
· Create and maintain a physical inventory of IT related equipment, PC’s, software, and any other information specified by the IT Director.
· Maintain various software licenses and negotiate pricing.
· Potential on-call or after-hours support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
· Excellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret user and leadership requests.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.
· Ability to document and follow policies and procedures.
· 2-3 years' experience in a Help Desk environment.
· 2-3 years' experience with Windows based platforms.
· 2-3 years' experience with Windows Server 2012-2022.
· 1-2 years' experience working with database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access
Preferred additional skills
· VOIP phone troubleshooting
· Knowledge of SOX audit guidelines and change management.
· Firewall configuration.
· Previous Manufacturing / production field experience is considered a plus.
Education
· Associates Degree in Systems or Network administration with 2 years’ work experience or equivalent combination of Experience and education.
Travel
Occasional travel to other business sites will be required.
