Job Description
William Osler Health System is driven by a strategic vision to go beyond for our people and communities. As part of this commitment, we are embarking on an exciting digital transformation to implement a new, modernized Hospital Information System (HIS). Our dedicated HIS Team will collaborate closely with our trusted HIS Vendor (Epic) and internal subject matter experts to develop a fully functional system that will empower us to deliver exceptional care and services.
The Network Administrator, Hospital Information System (HIS), is responsible for the design, configuration, build, testing and support of the network and telecom infrastructure to support the HIS. This role is part of the HIS project structure, with a key responsibility to design, deliver and sustain our systems to address both clinical and non-clinical needs, ensuring the HIS is utilized effectively and efficiently in patient care.
Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, support and maintain networking and telecommunication infrastructure, including but not limited to: Cisco Network Systems- ACI, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, Cisco Unified Communications, UPS Battery and other network and communication systems as assigned
- Operate and maintain security firewalls/virtual private network (VPN) site-to-site tunnels, network management tools
- Assist with various other services as required or deemed necessary
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support
- Work extended hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends) as required
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in a computer related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a large corporate/healthcare setting preferred
- Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and supporting Cisco ACI, Catalyst environments, and Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Experience with network security standards with a solid understanding of network-based security protocols and methods (BGP, OSPF, GRE IPSec, SSL, TLS, ACLs)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications related technologies which include, but are not limited to: UCM, Unity Connection, IM and Presence, Jabber, VCS/Expressway, Cisco Paging Server/Informacast, UCCX, Emergency Responder and Voice Gateways
- Must possess excellent customer service interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Quality of Service, ITIL, HEAT Ticketing System
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team to meet HIS project milestones and ensure successful project delivery
- Ability and willingness to support project success in a manner that goes beyond completion of assigned tasks
- Ability to persevere in a high intensity project to overcome obstacles and difficult situations within a time sensitive implementation
- Ability to identify and solve problems

Hours: Currently Days (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary Range: $85,839.00 - $107,308.50
