System Administrator / End User Job Description

Position Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting Sinomax's computer systems and networks. Works directly with users to provide services and help resolve computing problems in a timely manner.
Position Description:
Receives requests for computer technical assistance and problem resolution from company employees. Performs level I system administration functions including Microsoft Active Directory support, Microsoft 365 support, Printer service support, IT documentation support, vendor onsite support, Door access control system support, Camera system support, IT procurement support, IT Infra onsite support, etc. Works directly with department heads and business leads to develop, map, and execute plans for EDI trading partners.
Position Requirements:
- Proficient in managing operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Familiarity with server management (Active Directory, O365, etc.)
- Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proficiency in backup and recovery procedures, disaster recovery planning
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to manage IT projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to interpret visual information and communicate effectively by phone, email, and face-to-face interaction.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment.
Education Experience/Certifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and/or equivalent experience
Years of Experience: 3 + years (preferred), in IT systems administration, IT Help Desk, IT Network management, or similar role.

Languages Spoken: English required, Mandarin a plus.
