Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration & Support:
• Provision, configure, and maintain Windows workstations, ensuring security and compliance.
• Manage and support Azure AD, Office 365, Intune, SharePoint, and Exchange Online environments.
• Perform software installations, updates, and patch management across IT infrastructure.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data security enforcement.
Cloud & Enterprise Applications:
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure AD, Intune, and Conditional Access policies.
• Manage email security, retention policies, spam filtering, and email archiving within Exchange Online.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, permissions, and workflows.
• Manage software licensing and compliance for enterprise applications.
End-User & Executive Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Train users on IT security policies, new applications, and best practices.
• Support remote users, including VPN setup, mobile device management (MDM), and cloud applications.
• Document IT processes, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Networking & Security:
• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Work alongside security teams to enforce security policies, monitor threats, and implement best practices.
Reporting & Management Communication:
• Generate and present reports on IT performance, security compliance, and system health.
• Collaborate with management to assess IT needs, propose upgrades, and optimize technology workflows.
• Act as a liaison between IT and other business units to ensure smooth technology operations.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of IT administration experience in a corporate or enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
• Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Experience supporting remote users, cloud environments, and MDM solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical reports to management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA, Security, or Microsoft Certified: Entra ID Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Intune Administrator Associate for expertise in endpoint management and compliance policies.
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate for Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO, and authentication policies.
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals for cloud security best practices.
• Experience with PowerApps and PowerBI administration
• Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting languages
• Experience with PKI, Certificate management and CACs
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (Hyper-V / VMWare / Docker / Kubernetes)
Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000-100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Highbury Defense’s total compensation package for employees.
