How you’ll make an Impact
Theâ¯Systems Administrator II (Staff Augmentation Specialist)â¯is a versatile hybrid role that integrates traditional field systems engineering with onsite staff augmentation support for clients. This position delivers comprehensive technical support both remotely and on-site, serving as a key escalation point for complex issues. Staff augmentation assignments may vary, requiring placement at client sites from one day per week to full-time onsite support, depending on client needs. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to adapt swiftly to diverse environments.
Additionally, the Systems Administrator II provides onsite technical support to clients on a recurring or non-recurring basis, with responsibilities including the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of clients' network infrastructure. This role acts as an advocate for the client, ensuring that Ntiva and the client are aligned in achieving a secure, high-performance infrastructure that meets their business needs.
Summary of Location and Hours
- This is a hybrid role that requires traveling to various client sites in the Kansas City area approximately 70% On-site/30% Remote
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
- Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm CST, with a rotating on call schedule - 1 week every 6 weeks
What you will be doing
- Provide end-user support and manage client infrastructures during scheduled appointments.
- Perform onsite staff augmentation, handling day-to-day IT operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service, resolving IT requests onsite or remotely.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and maintaining professionalism.
- Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Maintain and troubleshoot local and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor endpoints and complete preventative maintenance.
- Ensure network security and documentation.
- Validate and test backup solutions.
- Assist in deploying new technology.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate client documentation.
- Meet SLA timelines and report client concerns promptly.
- Maintain utilization metric above 80%
- Record time on service tickets and submit timesheets weekly.
- Track expenses and schedule service delivery using the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the Account Management and Dispatch teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Adapt to different client environments and manage multiple priorities.
You’ll be successful in this role if you have experience in/with
- This position requires US Citizenship due to government contracts
- 3-5 years of experience in the field of Information Technology
- General MSP industry knowledge
- Provide excellent support to customers remotely or onsite as needed.
- Deliver advanced troubleshooting and resolutions for applications, servers, networks, and virtual machines.
- Service and troubleshoot end-user issues (hardware, OS, software).
- Ability to Design and build networks, VLANs, security rules, and GPOs.
- Ability to Configure AAD and DirSync to O365.
- Ability to Troubleshoot VLAN settings, configurations, and firewall rules.
- Ability to Create and manage internal DNS zones and settings.
- Understand and configure RAID arrays, virtual machines, and drives.
- Migrate VMs from hosts and storage.
- Maintain and implement networking technology (Firewalls, Switches, UPS, Servers, SANS, NAS, Printers, WAP, PC).
- Ability to Administer and audit Office 365 end-user administrations.
- Ability to Troubleshoot Windows server roles (GPO, DHCP, DNS, NPS, WSUS, IIS, AD, DFS).
- Perform deployments, new system setups, and data center visits as needed.
- Maintain superior people skills and communicate effectively with various departments.
- Work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Cooperate with departments to obtain necessary information.
- Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Platforms.
- Understand cloud servers and VPN connections.

- Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $50,000.00 and $70,000.00 per year, plus an annual on-target bonus if applicable, not all roles are subject to a bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Team members must establish a dedicated safe workspace that is free from distractions, hazards, and that is secure from unauthorized access. This includes following Ntiva’s IT User and Security Policies that include but are not limited to password-protecting all equipment, keeping confidential and proprietary documents secure, refraining from using public Wi-Fi, having adequate arrangements in place to avoid significant interruptions from caregiving responsibilities during work hours (except in emergency situations with manager approval). Any remote work away from a team member’s normal expected dedicated safe workspace must be requested by team member, is subject to review by management, and must adhere to Ntiva policies and procedures.
