We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior to Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership and technical expertise to design, build, and optimize the infrastructure that supports our Cross Domain Service (CDS). You will play a key role in developing strategies, mentoring team members, and ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to support Cross Domain Service requirements.
- Lead incident response efforts, postmortem analyses, and the development of robust solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align systems architecture with business goals and security standards.
- Drive automation efforts to eliminate manual tasks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance deployment pipelines.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Establish and refine monitoring, alerting, and logging practices to proactively detect and address issues.
- Contribute to strategic planning for infrastructure improvements and technology adoption.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards, including ITAR, NIST, and FIPS.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive initiatives to improve team velocity and operational maturity.
- Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on Site Reliability Engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Extensive experience with Linux systems, including advanced troubleshooting and optimization.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Strong expertise in configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Deep knowledge of monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, including providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate technical concepts.
- MUST POSSESS U.S. Citizenship and possess and maintain TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions and their operational and security requirements.
- Experience in regulated environments requiring compliance with ITAR, NIST, or similar standards.
- Advanced networking knowledge, including routing, firewalls, and secure data transfer protocols.
- Expertise in high-availability architectures and disaster recovery planning.
