We are looking for a full-time Systems Administrator to join our growing team at MedBridge Healthcare!
Must live in our near Fargo, ND as the position requires several days in office.
MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions, deploying new software and hardware, providing training, and contributing to the development of our IT strategy. The Systems Administrator will drive innovation, tackle challenging projects, lead initiatives, and be accountable for delivering results. This role operates under the direct oversight of the Vice President of IT, implementing strategies and protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
Primary Duties
- IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our core IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and end-user devices such as laptops and desktops.
- Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to projects that are vital to the larger business strategy, ensuring that IT initiatives deliver a competitive edge in the global market.
- Operational Excellence: Manage and support business-critical IT systems, enabling faster and more efficient business processes, and develop analytics to derive meaningful insights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to communicate project status, share key activities, and celebrate achievements.
- System Administration: Perform key server administration tasks, including managing users/groups, security permissions, group policies, and print services. Monitor system health, respond to event-log warnings and errors, and ensure seamless operation of system architecture components.
- Data Center Management: Oversee data center health using management tools, address hardware issues as they arise, and assist in building, testing, and maintaining new servers.
- Infrastructure Support: Maintain internal infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking components. Provide support for internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and other network segments.
- Technical Support: Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting, identifying root causes of issues, and providing technical support as needed.
- System Audits: Conduct regular audits of systems, including backup processes, to ensure data integrity and system security.
- Demonstrate flexibility in travel requirements, being able to travel throughout the company's service area on short notice, with occasional overnight stays as needed, averaging 1-3 days of travel per month.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in an IT role, with hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, modern technologies, enterprise backup and recovery processes, system performance monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.
- Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing large-scale distributed systems, managing volumes, and handling remote replication.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Unix systems administration.
- Professional certifications in relevant IT disciplines.
