Essential Functions
This role is responsible for PC and application support for the Business and Finance Division; specifically, Business & Finance, Accounting Services, Human Resources and Cashiering/Student Accounts. This includes providing end user technical support, hardware/software troubleshooting and occasional application training. This position will also purchase and set up new equipment, as well as install all pertinent software needed for the end user. Web updates and some report writing will also be expected. The IT Associate will attend monthly IS meetings, as well as, participate in active knowledge sharing with the rest of the Business & Finance Techs.

Required Qualifications
High school education or equivalent. Two years desktop support or similar work experience in the technical field. (will consider a combination of relevant education/experience. Requires the ability to understand, interpret, apply and communicate information within a specialization and the ability to apply limited analysis in the completion of general functional procedures. May possess knowledge of work activities outside functional area. Advanced Windows desktop knowledge. Understanding of Microsoft Windows computer operating systems, hardware configuration and computer software packages. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Strong customer service skills. Highly motivated self-starter. Understanding of key networking principals and services ( DNS , DHCP , FTP , firewall, ETC ) . Solid verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders professionally. High attention to detail. Knowledge of or aptitude for basic accounting principles. Ability to communicate clearly about technical issues with non-technical staff. Valid local driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a technical major such as Management Information Services or Computer Science.

Work Schedule
M-F; 8am-5pm, additional hours as needed
