Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Salary: £250 per hour Umbrella Rate ( Inside IR35)
Temporary contract for three months and could go Perm

The Business Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively across the whole Council to support the delivery of a broad range of CCC strategic objectives and outcomes. The post holder will provide practical support and advice across the Business Intelligence Team, whose focus is on the delivery of the following functions: Management & performance information Support for Quality Assurance Support for Inspections of Council services Whilst working collaboratively with colleagues to support the broader delivery of all aspects of the work of the Business Intelligence Team.
Description of the Role
The role is specifically focused on data extraction and analysis for Childrens Social Care, so candidates need to have experience in this field. Key accountabilities are:
- Assist with the accurate and timely completion of the Childrens Statutory Returns (CIN Census, SSDA903 and Fostering Return).
- Support data extraction using Business Object and aggregation and visualisation using PowerBI
- Complete ad hoc data requests as required including FOIs.
Qulifications & Experience
- Education: A degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, social work, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Experience in data extraction and analysis: Candidates with experience in data extraction and analysis, specifically in the Children's Social Care field, with a good understanding of relevant datasets and data structures, have an advantage
- Knowledge of relevant software: Proficiency in software such as Business Object and PowerBI is essential, as these tools will be used for data extraction, aggregation, and visualization.
- Attention to detail: The role requires high accuracy and attention to detail, so candidates should be able to work carefully and methodically, ensuring that data is accurate and reliable.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills are necessary for this role, as candidates will be required to identify patterns and trends in large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Communication skills: Candidates should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as they will be required to present complex data in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including social workers, managers, and external partners.
- Time management: The role requires working to tight deadlines, so candidates should be able to manage their time effectively, prioritizing tasks and ensuring that work is completed on time.
- Teamwork: Candidates should be able to collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge and expertise, and contribute to developing best practices within the team.
- Understanding of Children's Social Care: Finally, candidates should have a good understanding of the Children's Social Care sector, including relevant legislation, policy, and guidance, and an awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
