Digital Consultants is seeking a Mid-level AV Technician to join our team! As the Mid-level AV Technician, you will provide comprehensive AV support for all systems and equipment and act as a principal performer for onsite technical support, including after-hours AV maintenance support. You will perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), update software and firmware, and make any necessary adjustments, calibrations, and repairs to AV systems.
Duties to include:
- Observe relevant laws and regulations and utilize industry best practices to install Displays, Projectors, Screens, speakers, and other AV equipment
- Observe relevant laws and regulations and utilize industry best practices to run and terminate AV cabling.
- Proactively support issues reported via email, chat, phone, and other client support mediums.
- Perform service tasks from an assigned task queue to service support requests for maintenance/repair.
- Provide support of such items as (but not limited to) displays, AV Control Systems (Crestron, Extron, etc.), Audio DSPs (Biamp, ClearOne, etc.), Projectors, displays, and video walls, and VTC systems (Cisco, Polycom, etc.).
- Participate in the development and maintenance of departmental workflow and standard operating procedures applicable to global maintenance and locale-specific documentation.
- Participate in Special Projects including (but not limited to) inventory tracking, deployments, and general documentation.
- Support IT team as required in user and inter-departmental communication.
- Provide regular communication to IT management around regional maintenance support requests.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance and keep detailed records (rooms inspected, avg. inspection time, etc.).
- Maintain trouble tickets and keep accurate logs of all repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Break-Fix tasks.
- Provide support to all AV/VC requests unless otherwise directed by management
- Quickly and creatively solve unanticipated issues encountered during installations and repairs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an AV Technician in a corporate or government setting
- Certification: Avixa CTS
- Clearance: Secret
- Strong knowledge of AV system design and installation principles
- Experience performing preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) on AV systems and equipment
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex AV systems and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality customer service to end-users.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
- The ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights up to 30 feet
