About the Position:
• Help build our new newborn medicine practice in our UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide care to infants and children.
• Perform well-baby and child physical exams and access for illness, order diagnostic tests, create treatment plans, and administer treatments.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding the state and treatment of their children.
• Work alongside team of skilled physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, and allied health staff.
Job Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an Accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with Board Certification (ANCC), BCLS, PALS (ACLS and NALS optional). Experience in Pediatrics in either: inpatient or critical care. Will need to apply for prescriptive authority with the PA Board of Nursing. Must be eligible to apply for a DEA number. Must have current CPR/BLS certification.
