System Administrator (On-Site from Day One)
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of IT work experience with Microsoft Windows Servers.
- Possess a high level of expertise in the Windows-based system environments.
- Experience deploying the release of Windows Servers and designs, installs, configures, maintains, and performs system integration testing of Windows Server operating systems, related utilities, and hardware.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving Windows Server issues as reported by users.
- Experience maintaining a secure Windows-based systems environments (i.e. implementing server hardending techniques and applying security patches)
- Experience providing new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, installing new Windows Servers and maintaining the Windows-based infrastructure.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience upgrading Windows Operating Systems (2016, 2019, or later versions).
- Experience in maintaining and optimizing virtualized environments using VMware.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deploy the release of Windows Servers.
- Design, install, configure, maintain, and perform system integration testing of the client Windows Server operating systems, related utilities, and hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows Server issues as reported by the client users.
- Maintain a secure Windows systems environment.
- Provide new hardware specifications to the client users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
- Install new Windows Servers, and maintain the client Windows-based infrastructure.
