Description
What you will do:
Aerzen USA’s Information Technology team helps manage the company’s network in 16 offices in 8 countries in North and South America. As a Server and Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's server and network infrastructure. You will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently without constant input from a supervisor. This position offers an excel-lent opportunity for experienced professionals to further advance their career in IT infrastructure management.
- Network Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance. Manage LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks, ensuring seamless connectivity across all subsidiaries. Implement and maintain network security measures.
- Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups. Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Support & Maintenance: Provide technical support and training to staff across all subsidiaries. Respond to and resolve network and server-related issues promptly. Maintain documentation of network and server configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and directives from our parent company. Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Assist with conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Other Responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest network and server technologies.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new network and server infrastructure.
- Work with other IT staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Document network and server configurations and procedures.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.).
- Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- In-depth understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.

- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Ability to perform system backups and recovery.
- Experience with user administration and access control.
- Knowledge on scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with network security and monitoring tools.
- Microsoft 365, Azure, Wireshark, Hyper-V, VMware, Powershell
Certifications &Licenses
CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Server+.
