The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer an exciting opportunity for recent college graduates to join our team as a Cloud Associate. This role is a part of our Associate Program designed to help you unlock your full potential.
VITA provides cloud services to executive branch agencies via cloud service providers.
The selected candidate is part of a team that supports VITA’s oversight of this function:
• Monitor and manage services provided by cloud service providers.
• Ensure compliance with VITA security standards.
• Ensure contractual compliance.
• Evaluate performance measures.
• Collaborate to optimize cloud usage and cost management.
• Assist in the adoption of cloud services.

Minimum Qualifications
Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to adapt to changing high-volume environments while maintaining a focus on the needs of customers.
Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Understanding of how cloud environments work, such Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems.
Additional Considerations
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in a governmental setting.
Experience in an IT environment.
Experience with Microsoft 365 platform, including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
ITIL certification.
