Job Summary:
The Cloud Developer (Middle) will be an integral part of the Data and Applications Team, responsible for developing, operating, maintaining, and enhancing a suite of cybersecurity tools deployed across secure enclaves. This role focuses on supporting incident response, threat detection, and event monitoring by integrating data from centralized and local system sources. The Cloud Developer will contribute to the creation of new applications, algorithms, and automation processes to optimize workflows and improve data analysis. Additionally, the role involves collaborating to ensure that security requirements are integrated into technical solutions while conducting ongoing research to incorporate emerging technologies, thereby enhancing the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities:
·Develop, maintain, and enhance cloud-based applications and services that support cybersecurity operations.
·Administer and manage Linux-based environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
·Test, implement, deploy, and maintain infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity tools.
·Create, modify, and maintain computer applications, software, and specialized utility programs for cybersecurity.
·Assist in integrating third-party components and introducing new custom capabilities, modifying existing code as necessary.
·Recommend process improvements and automate operations and maintenance tasks to enhance efficiency.
·Collaborate with team members to integrate security requirements into cloud-based technical solutions.
·Participate in ongoing research to identify and incorporate emerging technologies to improve cybersecurity capabilities.
Unique Skills/Tasks/Software:
·Required: Experience with Linux-based environment administration.
·Required: Proven experience in testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity.
·Required: Strong background in developing, creating, modifying, and maintaining computer applications and specialized utility programs for cybersecurity.
·Preferred: Experience integrating third-party components and automating operations and maintenance tasks.
·Preferred: Proficiency in using Splunk, Oracle/SQL platforms, and Python.
Preferred Certifications:
·Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
·AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
·AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
·Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud development, cybersecurity, or related fields.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on improving security processes and workflows.
