Description
We are seeking a Junior to Mid range Systems Administrator with experience in Windows environments to join our client's team for a 6-month period. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks including:
Supporting IT operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of their systems. You will work closely with the IT staff to manage and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Key Responsibilities
Validate and verify nightly backups to ensure data integrity.
Perform account termination and delete user profiles, including managing remote access.
Label and clean up cabling in the server room to maintain organization and efficiency.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Provide technical support to end-users and resolve IT-related problems.
Perform regular system updates and backups.
Assist in managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Ensure security best practices are followed and assist in implementing security measures.
Document IT procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
Collaborate with IT staff on various projects and initiatives.
Manage and administer Azure environments and Office 365.
Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell for automation tasks.
Schedule and perform monthly system reboots and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in a systems administration role.
Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with Azure environments and Office 365 administration.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
