Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our Messaging, Collaboration, and Security Services (MCS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, documentation, and security of systems supporting key infrastructure and services such as Azure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, secure data management, identity management, and file and print.
Key Responsibilities:
- DNS Record Management: Receive, analyze, and implement DNS record requests in line with best practices.
- System Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain cloud and server-based systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure File Services, and SharePoint, ensuring proper configuration to avoid service interruptions.
- Software Administration: Research, design, implement, and administer essential programs on servers, including monitoring tools, antivirus, backup/recovery agents, and other support tools (e.g., ADUC, Print Management, UPS software).
- Cloud Service Management: Work with supervisors and senior technicians to implement new and existing cloud services, verify configurations, and ensure optimal operation by examining application performance and making timely upgrade recommendations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with system administrators and team members in planning, testing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure and services. Manage operational responsibilities and projects with managers.
- Help Desk Support: Monitor and analyze DOIT Help Desk work orders, perform tier 2-3 evaluation and troubleshooting, and resolve issues either via phone or remotely. Transfer more complex issues to senior specialists as needed.
- Documentation & Compliance: Follow established procedures for documenting activities, problem reporting, and scheduling infrastructure changes. Create and maintain documentation related to MCS processes, procedures, and standards.
