Senior Network Engineer – Now HiringAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team and take ownership of our network infrastructure, security, and system optimization. This role is critical in ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our organization’s IT environment.
Success in this position means:
- Designing and maintaining a resilient, secure, and scalable network infrastructure
- Proactively troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues with minimal downtime
- Leading network projects, upgrades, and security enhancements
- Working independently and collaboratively to support IT operations across multiple locations
Key Responsibilities- Network Design and Implementation – Manage, optimize, and enhance the performance of LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations
- Security and Compliance – Maintain firewall rules, access controls, and intrusion prevention systems to ensure compliance with security policies
- Troubleshooting and Support – Identify and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues independently, minimizing disruptions
- Infrastructure Upgrades – Lead network refresh projects, including firewall migrations, switch replacements, and Wi-Fi expansions
- System Monitoring and Optimization – Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively detect and prevent performance issues
- Collaboration and Documentation – Work with IT leadership to develop strategies for scalability and document network configurations
Qualifications and Requirements- Five or more years of hands-on experience in network engineering, system administration, or IT infrastructure roles
- Strong expertise with firewalls (SonicWall preferred), network switches, VPNs, and wireless access points
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and network security best practices
- Ability to work independently and make critical network decisions without constant oversight
- Experience supporting multi-location environments and working with all levels of employees, from frontline staff to executive leadership
- Certifications a plus (CCNA, Network+, or other relevant certifications)
