Job Title: System Administrator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Administrator person to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service abilities.
The System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires extensive experience with Cisco and Fortinet equipment, virtualization technologies, operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, Office 365, and Veeam backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and manage Cisco and Fortinet network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V.
- Administer and support operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Manage Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and directory synchronization.
- Configure and maintain DNS servers and related services.
- Administer Office 365 environments, including SharePoint, user management, security configurations, and email services.
- Implement and manage Veeam backup solutions, ensuring regular backups and successful recovery processes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to plan and execute IT projects.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance the IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration.
- Proven experience working with Cisco and Fortinet equipment.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware and Hyper-V.
- Expertise in operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Proficient in managing Active Directory and DNS.
- Experience with Office 365 administration.
- Hands-on experience with Veeam backup and recovery solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCP/MCSE) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (IBM,AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices.
