Chief Business Transformation Officer, Aculocity
Location: Birmingham, AL (On Premise)

The scope of work spans from Customer Facing (e.g. Sales, Product Development and Customer Care) to Backend (e.g. ERP, Lean Manufacturing and Shared Services) processes and technology.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and dynamic executive to lead process, technology and data transformation, ensuring robust operational execution and financial results, across our businesses. The ideal candidate will be a process-first and technology-second individual, with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive our business transformation forward. This role requires a visionary, yet hands-on leader with deep expertise in process, technology and data transformation. You will work closely with the executive team of the company, peers at sister companies and Aculocity’s holding company executive team, reporting directly to the chairman.
Role Expectations:
- Process Transformation: Empower our businesses by digitally transforming critical business processes and integrating cutting-edge technologies, thus enabling them to achieve operational excellence and sustainable growth. Identify inefficiencies in current portfolio companies’ workflows and implement solutions to reduce waste, increase speed, and improve quality.
- Technology Transformation: Leverage emerging technologies such as automation, AI/ML, IoT, and data analytics to enhance business processes and results. Build a solid multi-year technology roadmap to elevate the company’s service offerings and technology.
- Data Transformation: redefine and evolve the organization’s approach to managing, utilizing, and deriving value from its data assets to align with business objectives, improve decision-making, and drive innovation. Shift from traditional or siloed data practices to a more strategic, integrated, and forward-looking approach.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive all companies’ long-term growth and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set short- and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and expected deliverables
- Operational Oversight:
- Lead all of the company’s disciplines (e.g., Infrastructure, Security, Help Desk Support, Process Transformation, Data, AI/ML and Solution Delivery) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Implement best practices to optimize processes, resource allocation and increase productivity.
- Monitor operational performance and address issues proactively to ensure work is completed on time, on budget and meets partner expectations.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Identify missing and value adding capabilities and close the gap through training or recruiting.
- Set performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and provide development opportunities for team members.
- Client Relations:
- Cultivate relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
- Drive business development initiatives to expand the company’s customer base and reach.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering high-quality solutions and services.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate business risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee risk assessments and implement strategies to protect company assets and reputation.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and data governance protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, technology, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree highly preferred).
- Minimum of 10+ years of executive experience in Business Transformation and/or the technology industry
- Practical experience within Supply Chain value stream is highly preferred
- Experience with managing with P&L responsibilities is a plus
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of emerging technology trends and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional travel to company’s sites and industry events.
